About Jordan

Creating delightful digital library experiences and engaging online learning opportunities for all people is what drives my professional passion. I love experimenting with and exploring new platforms for sharing information, but what really gets me excited (in a deeply geeky way) is how to best describe and preserve digital materials.

I’m currently the Digital Library Services Manager for the Kansas City Public Library where I plan, implement, and manage digital initiatives and website development.  Past experiences include mastering the art of maneuvering a motorbike down crowded urban streets while teaching the finer points of speaking and writing English at Khon Kaen University in Thailand and manipulating high school students into drastically improving their reading skills with Teach For America at Miami Central Senior High School in Miami, Florida.

Although from time to time I may mention activities related to any of my current or past positions, all opinions and ideas are mine only, and in no way represent the views of current or past employers (although KCPL did do a lovely write-up on my work there).  For more about my professional experiences, please see my resume.
